Scenario

You are attempting to run the Apply to email from all devices including mobiles or Connect to Microsoft 365 setup and encounter an error similar to the following:

You may also see the error if you are attempting to enable the Receive from Exclaimer V2 connector in Exchange online or PowerShell.

Resolution

Exclaimer is working with Microsoft to resolve the problem causing this error message to occur. In the meantime, Microsoft kindly request any customers experiencing this issue to raise a support ticket via the Microsoft 365 admin center so they can assist in enabling the connector for your organization.

To disable the Exclaimer mail flow rule:

  1. Log in to the Exchange admin center using your Microsoft 365 Administrator credentials.

    The Exchange admin center is displayed.

  2. From the left-hand navigation menu, select Mail flow, then select Rules.

  3. In Rules, you will see the Transport Rule created at the time of setting up Signatures for Microsoft 365.

  4. Click the Identify messages to send to Exclaimer Cloud rule.

    The details are displayed on the right-hand pane.

  5. In Enable or disable rule, slide the bar to disable the rule.


    This will take a few moments to update.

    Once the Transport Rule has been successfully deactivated (disabled), the Transport Rule will no longer be active.
To re-enable the Identify messages to send to Exclaimer Cloud mail flow rule
  1. Log in to the Exchange admin center using your Microsoft 365 Administrator credentials.

    The Exchange admin center is displayed.

  2. From the left-hand navigation menu, select Mail flow, then select Rules.

  3. Click the Identify messages to send to Exclaimer Cloud rule.

    The details are displayed on the right-hand pane.

  4. In Enable or disable rule, slide the bar to enable the rule.

    This will take a few moments to update.
